About JoyOver

Who

We’re a small team passionate about examined living, embodied faith, a practiced life, and living the full expression of joy.

What

We curate offerings and experiences for a practiced life, contemplative living, and the deepening work of joy.

Why

“Showing up” and “doing the work” can be hard and lonely. We’re here to journey with you and support your pursuit.

“Find your contemplative practice, and practice it.” —James Finley

Our beliefs

Throughout human history, art has been used in countless ways to explain, explore, and search out meaning. The JoyOver logo holds much depth and symbolism.

  • The jar of manna represents God’s faithful and daily provision in our times of wilderness and our struggle to gather it in faith.
  • The cracked hands, which represent the imperfections of the journey, represent a humble and receptive posture required to embrace and enjoy God’s faithfulness.
  • The Tree of Life, which has roots making up the base of the jar, symbolize our groundedness in God’s character as the foundation of our faith practice.
  • And the roots, taking shape as steps, represent God’s invitation and welcome towards us, ever leading our lives toward relationship and intimacy.
